Bekina's Sustainability Roadmap

We are harnessing achievements big and small to continue working towards our sustainable ambitions. We are pursuing an intensive, yet realistic schedule, taking into account the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations. Over the next few years, we are working towards the following milestones: energy, mobility, waste, and product development. Our goal? A CO2-neutral production by 2040

Our new sustainability report is online

 At Bekina (BeSealed), we have sustainable entrepreneurship in our blood
For us, quality and sustainability go hand in hand. We are constantly looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment and reinforce our commitment to a greener future. As part of this strategy, we recently published our new sustainability report, documenting our progress and commitment with the achieved and future actions. This report shows all our efforts to be climate neutral by 2040

Certificates and partnerships

Bekina partners with world-renowned laboratories and research institutes to ensure that our products meet the highest international quality and safety standards. We are affiliated to various sustainable initiatives and have already obtained numerous certificates. All things that we value highly as a sustainable global player.

Did you know that we recently joined UN Global Compact?

The United Nations Global Compact initiative is a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and dissemination of responsible business practices. Bekina aligns its strategy and operations with the ten universally accepted principles relating to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. With more than 24000 participants it is now the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. 

Special visitor at Bekina BeSealed

Thursday 25 April we had a special visitor at Bekina BeSealed. In support of promoting the Belgian industry, our Prime Minister Alexander De Croo visited our company. After 60 years and 3 generations, we have grown as a Belgian family business into a global reference. While operating worldwide, our production and daily operations still take place from Kluisbergen in Belgium.
